Because Aphrodite/Venus is the goddess/queen of sluts/prostitutes and pornography but you don't hear abou this as much now.....it was from a Greek friend who was an expert on this history I began to learn the "truth" about her about 10 years ago. Also around that time .....well some other time for that. She wasn't then as......she was later depicted more kind of serene and sweet. She was less so back in the beginning. I'm really obsessed with this theme now as you can see......fall asleep, then am woken,then can't sleep. When I'm in frenzied creative activity it takes me and my mind at least a day to spin off come down from it.....heavy duty concentration. On another note, another plug is that I'm reading the book "The Help" I have SO much praise for this book. I love Southern literature and the culture is so fascinating. I don't love the obvious human rights horrors that occured there.....I hate bigotry or any kind of caste system at all. But maybe that's what intrigues me that is part of this incredibly rich history yet this one part was so wrong and horrific. This is very well written. I'm not finished yet. Can't wait to see the film.
